Choose the ticket that matches your plan

The official ticket page currently lists these options:

The U-23 ticket is not a general youth ticket. The holder must be under 23 when entering, and the festival's 18+ and no-high-school rules still apply. In practical terms, an eligible U-23 holder must be 18–22 and no longer enrolled in high school or an equivalent program.

The official page says purchases cannot be cancelled or refunded for the buyer's convenience. It also says each sales allocation can end when the planned number is reached. Check the live listing immediately before payment; a cached result or an older price tier is not proof that a ticket remains available.

Set up AnyPASS before event day

The organizer says Ultra Japan 2026 tickets are digital and normally require a smartphone compatible with AnyPASS. Before applying, confirm that each participant has a supported smartphone and can complete SMS authentication.

Use this setup order:

1. Install AnyPASS on the phone connected to the number entered during purchase.
2. Complete AnyPASS registration and SMS authentication.
3. Keep that phone number active and do not change it before the event unless the ticket seller gives a verified recovery process.
4. When issuance opens, receive the ticket and confirm that Ultra Japan appears in the app.
5. Distribute companion tickets through the method specified for this event. In the standard AnyPASS flow, each participant needs one ticket and companions need AnyPASS to receive distributed tickets. Inbound-only buyers should instead follow the separate method in the seller's official email.
6. On event morning, open the app, confirm the ticket is present, charge the phone and carry a power bank that complies with the current venue rules.

Do not use a screenshot as the ticket

Ultra Japan's English policy page currently contains a contradictory sentence about presenting a printout or screenshot. AnyPASS's own entry instructions are more specific: the HOME-screen QR code refreshes, and a screenshot or screen capture cannot be used for entry. This guide therefore treats the live AnyPASS app as required for the standard flow.

Do not test the contradiction at the gate. If your purchase used the inbound-only reception site, follow the issuance email from that seller, because Ultra Japan says the receipt method for inbound buyers may differ. Save the purchase confirmation and contact the named ticket office if the instructions are incomplete.

Check age, school status and original photo ID

Every attendee, not just the purchaser, must be eligible. Ultra Japan's current policy says:

• no one under 18 may enter;
• a person still enrolled in high school or equivalent may not enter, regardless of age;
• age must be verified at admission; and
• admission can be refused without a ticket refund if age cannot be verified.

Bring a current ID in its officially issued original form. The organizer lists a passport among the accepted documents. Photocopies, phone photos and expired IDs are not accepted. A student ID is subject to extra conditions and is a poor fallback for an international visitor; a current original passport is the clearest listed option.

Visitors aged 18 or 19 should also expect a different wristband from visitors aged 20 or older. Japan's alcohol and smoking age remains 20. Meeting the festival's minimum entry age does not authorize alcohol purchase or smoking-area use.

Keep the ID on your person rather than in luggage you may leave outside or away from the gate. You will need it again for re-entry.

Pack within the 90 cm baggage limit

The current event policy generally limits each person to one carry-in bag whose length, width and height add up to no more than 90 cm. Measure the packed bag, not an empty bag that will expand after shopping.

The organizer also says:

• baggage and ID checks apply again when a visitor re-enters;
• venue lockers are limited;
• cans, glass bottles and PET bottles cannot be carried in;
• umbrellas, coolers, chairs, parasols and mats are prohibited; and
• oversized or disruptive items can be refused.

Do not rely on the website's old FAQ for locker prices or operating hours. Parts of that page still show 2019 details. Until Ultra Japan publishes current 2026 locker information, treat storage as limited and unconfirmed.

A compact plan is safer: one small bag, original ID in a secure pocket, charged phone, power bank, payment method and only items permitted by the latest policy. Check the weather, but use rain gear allowed by the current rules rather than bringing an umbrella that the policy prohibits.

Re-entry requires both wristband and ID

The organizer permits re-entry only when staff can confirm your wristband and ID. Each return also involves another baggage check and ID check. If either the wristband or ID cannot be confirmed, re-entry can be refused without a refund.

For a two-day ticket, the same wristband must remain on for both days. Wristbands are not reissued or refunded for loss or damage. Do not remove it overnight, exchange it with another person or assume a purchase receipt can replace it.

Re-entry is also conditional on conduct. The policy allows the organizer to collect a wristband or refuse re-entry for reasons including intoxication or other prohibited behavior. Treat re-entry as a controlled gate process, not an unlimited pass.

Build an Odaiba arrival and exit plan

The official policy says there is no parking around the venue and asks visitors to use public transportation. If the organizer publishes a current venue pin or entrance notice, build the route around that update rather than a previous year's map.

Before leaving your hotel

• Open the live ticket or the official inbound entry instruction.
• Confirm phone battery, data access and SMS continuity.
• Put the original photo ID in a secure place you can reach at the gate.
• Measure the one carry-in bag.
• Screenshot the route and hotel address for navigation only; that image does not replace the live ticket.
• Check for any newly published organizer entrance, weather and prohibited-item notices.

At Odaiba

Allow extra time between arriving in the district and reaching the entrance. If the organizer introduces controlled walking routes, follow the latest signs and staff directions. Do not depend on a previous year's route or cross roads outside designated crossings.

After the final set

Allow extra time for the post-event trip and possible public-transport crowding. The policy says attendees may be released in an orderly, controlled way and must follow staff instructions. Pick a post-event meeting point outside the immediate gate, keep enough phone battery to contact companions, and avoid booking a tight connection that depends on an unannounced finishing time.

Plan B when the ticket or app is not ready

If the ticket is missing from AnyPASS, the registered phone number has changed, or the inbound email is unclear, do not travel to the venue expecting a screenshot or payment receipt to solve the problem.

1. Save the order number, purchase confirmation and exact phone number used.
2. Check the issuing date and instructions on the seller's page or email.
3. Contact the ticket office named in the confirmation.
4. Resolve distribution for every companion before leaving the hotel.
5. Keep the live official reply with the booking record.

If regular inventory closes, do not use an unofficial marketplace. Ultra Japan says an official resale service for AnyPASS-issued tickets will be announced later, but the article could not confirm that Ultra Japan 2026 resale is active as of August 21.
