Yebisu Garden Place’s Baccarat chandelier runs November 14, 2026–January 11, 2027. For the Christmas tree and both marchés together, choose November 27–December 25 and arrive before the markets close at 20:00. The chandelier, tree and surrounding lights have different finishing dates. A January visit can still include the chandelier; a February visit is a winter lights walk.

Choose your date before choosing your evening
Search for 恵比寿ガーデンプレイス / Yebisu Garden Place, the complex at 4-20 Ebisu, Shibuya-ku. The station uses the spelling “Ebisu”; the venue uses “Yebisu.” The official Baccarat ETERNAL LIGHTS page and Christmas programme describe several overlapping events, rather than one festival with a single closing date.
| Experience | Announced dates | Usual hours and place |
|---|---|---|
| Baccarat chandelier | November 14–January 11, 2027 | 11:00–23:00; Center Plaza |
| Christmas tree | November 14–December 25 | 16:00–23:00; Clock Plaza |
| Clock Plaza Christmas marché | November 14–December 25 | Weekdays 17:00–20:00; weekends and public holidays 12:00–20:00 |
| Château Plaza Christmas marché | November 27–December 25 | Weekdays 17:00–20:00; weekends and public holidays 12:00–20:00 |
| Surrounding champagne-gold illumination | November 14–February 28, 2027 | 16:00–23:00; several areas including the promenade |
Opening-day exception: on November 14, the chandelier, tree and surrounding lights are scheduled to switch on at 17:00. The Clock Plaza marché also plans a 17:00 start that Saturday. The lighting ceremony is scheduled for 17:00 at Center Plaza, with further details still to be announced. Do not arrive at noon expecting the normal weekend programme.
November 14–26 works for the chandelier, tree and Clock Plaza marché; the second marché has not started. From December 26 through January 11, choose the chandelier and surrounding lights without expecting the Christmas tree or markets. From January 12 through February 28, the longer-running illumination remains the reason to go.

Use the market’s closing time to plan dinner
An arrival after dinner can suit a lights walk. It will not suit marché shopping if you reach the stalls after 20:00. On an ordinary weekday during market season, aim to browse soon after the 17:00 opening, choose anything you want to eat, then continue to the chandelier. Keep the market part first if food or gifts are your priority.
For a weekend afternoon, the usual noon market opening allows browsing before the tree and surrounding lights switch on at 16:00. The chandelier normally starts earlier, at 11:00, so it can also be part of a daytime visit. You do not have to wait until late evening simply to see it illuminated. The opening-day exception above still applies.
As an editorial planning allowance, set aside roughly 45–75 minutes for a short walk and photographs, then add time for shopping or a meal. This is not an official route duration or a queue forecast. A group with a child, a companion who needs rests, or a dinner booking may prefer one display and one refreshment stop to a complete circuit.
Two simple arrival examples help: at 18:00 on a December weekday, start with the marché and tree, then see the chandelier. At 21:00 on the same date, go for the lit displays and arrange food elsewhere. Check the individual restaurant’s hours and last orders before treating it as a late dinner option; the 23:00 light-switch-off time does not extend food service.
From Ebisu Station, look for the JR East Exit
The venue’s official access instructions list about five minutes on foot from JR Ebisu Station’s East Exit. After the East Exit ticket gates, turn right toward the Yebisu Garden Place signs and follow the moving walkway called Ebisu Skywalk / 恵比寿スカイウォーク. Save the venue name before entering the station so you can match it with signs.
For the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, the venue lists about seven minutes from Exit 1. Its illustrated route leads up the escalator to the third floor, continues past the JR East Exit gates and joins the Skywalk approach. Those are the venue’s approximate access times, not measured platform-to-chandelier times. Allow for finding the correct exit, companions and any detour you need.

The official page describes the Skywalk as a rain-sheltered approach. That does not make the outdoor markets or the whole evening weatherproof. Check conditions before leaving your accommodation, and separate the journey under cover from the time you intend to spend outside.
If you need to avoid stairs or escalators, use the venue’s barrier-free route guide and choose the relevant destination within the complex. It provides different routes for different buildings and areas. The standard Hibiya Line directions above include an escalator, so they should not be treated as a verified step-free route. Check station lifts and any service changes before travel; this guide has not inspected them in person.
Find the right plaza and keep the walk manageable
The chandelier is at Center Plaza / センター広場. The tree and first marché are at Clock Plaza / 時計広場; the second marché is at Château Plaza / シャトー広場. Use those names when meeting friends or asking for directions. A message saying only “at Garden Place” leaves several possible meeting points.
Start with your priority, then use the venue map and signs for the next stop. If you are waiting for a friend, agree on the plaza name and a precise landmark visible to both of you. Avoid relying on our pictures for navigation: they show planning situations and seasonal atmosphere rather than the actual layout or the announced installation.

Leave enough room for people continuing along the promenade when you stop for photographs. Take a few pictures, check them from the side of the flow, and move on if the space is busy. A closer view of a crystal detail or a companion’s reaction can be more useful than waiting for a clear panoramic shot. Follow staff instructions if viewing or movement is restricted.
Keep luggage out of the main walking space. The venue FAQ lists coin lockers in the complex, but this check did not establish their sizes, prices or availability during the event. Leave a large suitcase at your accommodation if possible; do not build a timed visit around finding an empty locker.
Treat refreshments as a stop, not a guaranteed meal
The announced Clock Plaza food truck is operated by The Westin Tokyo. Its listed offerings include borscht, coconut chicken spice curry, hot wine and hot chocolate. These are announced options, not dishes we have tasted. The current official event listing is the place to check the programme again before visiting.
Prices, serving sizes, queues and stock availability were not verified at this check. Decide your food-and-gift spending limit in yen before browsing, then compare the displayed prices. Keep transport and any indoor dinner separate in your budget. The event announcements reviewed do not list an admission price or ticket-booking link; this guide does not infer detailed entry conditions from that absence.

If you need a full meal, a particular dietary option or a place to sit, choose a restaurant that confirms those requirements. No guaranteed seating, stall payment method or allergen handling was verified for the marchés. Ask the actual seller before ordering. A warm drink can be a useful pause, but it should not be your only plan for a hungry child or a companion who needs an indoor rest.
Keep a rain plan and recheck holiday opening
The official Christmas programme says the marchés may be cancelled in rain or strong wind. Before travelling, check the current event notice and choose a fallback that still works if the stall you wanted is closed. A short display visit followed by a confirmed indoor café or restaurant is more flexible than making the marché your only dinner plan.

For late December and early January, the venue warns that individual shop and facility hours can change. The chandelier’s announced run includes the New Year period; that does not prove a particular shop, restaurant or facility will be open when you arrive. Check your chosen stop individually and save its current information before setting out.
If your dates do not fit, compare our Tokyo Midtown Christmas guide, Roppongi Hills guide and Japan Event Calendar. These are separate venues, so compare each programme’s dates and leave time for the transfer. Yebisu Garden Place’s marchés are also separate from the ticketed event covered in our Tokyo Christmas Market guide; use the actual venue name when checking tickets or directions.
Frequently asked questions
When can I see the tree, chandelier and both markets?
November 27–December 25, 2026 is their announced overlap. Check the market hours for your weekday, weekend or public-holiday visit.
Does everything open at noon on November 14?
No. The first day has a planned 17:00 start for the Clock Plaza marché and the lights. The second marché begins November 27.
Can I shop at the marchés after 20:00?
The announced closing time is 20:00. Plan later visits around the illuminated displays and check a separate dinner option.
What is left after Christmas Day?
The chandelier continues through January 11; surrounding illumination through February 28. The tree and Christmas marchés finish December 25.
Which station exit should I use?
The venue directs JR passengers to the East Exit and Hibiya Line passengers to Exit 1, then toward the Skywalk. Check a separate accessible route if needed.
Is the Skywalk approach proof of a step-free journey?
No. Consult the official barrier-free guide and station lift information for your actual route. The ordinary metro directions include an escalator.
Will the marchés operate in bad weather?
They may be cancelled in rain or strong wind. Recheck the official programme and keep an indoor alternative.
Do I need Tokyo Christmas Market tickets for this venue?
That is a different event. The Yebisu programme reviewed does not list an event-ticket booking link; recheck its own entry information instead of buying for another venue.
Are the images photographs of the announced 2026 event?
No. They are AI-generated conceptual illustrations. Use official photographs, maps and signs for the installation and venue layout.
